Mark Newman

Mark NewmanMark became a chartered physiotherapist in 2000 on completion of Bsc(Hons) in Physiotherapy from Teesside university where he achieved the award of best overall student on his course. Since then Mark has worked hard at improving his knowledge and skills through training on muscle balance and rehabilitation, acupuncture, osteopathic manipulative techniques, sports injuries and is currently in the final stages of completing a masters degree in musculoskeletal practice. He started his career at Ipswich hospital working for 5 years as part of a team in outpatients, orthopaedics and accident and emergency. In order to develop his skills in sports injuries further, Mark spent 3 years working at Ipswich town football club diagnosing and managing acute sports injuries through full rehabilitation back onto the pitch. Mark has recently become a partner in the regions biggest multidisciplinary clinic, Gilmour Piper, in Ipswich which now incorporates Newman Physiotherapy at Framfield Medical Centre, a purpose built state of the art facility in Woodbridge. After playing competitive football for many years, Mark now enjoys playing squash, tennis, golf and in the last year he has taken up triathlon giving him an in depth understanding of training demands and sports specific rehabilitation.

Zoe Elliot

ZoeZoe qualified as a Physiotherapist from the University of East Anglia in 2014. Since this, she has gained a wealth of experience of treating people with a variety of acute, chronic and degenerative conditions in musculoskeletal practice. In addition,she worked for Ipswich Town Football Club Academy for 3 seasons, providing physiotherapy assessment and treatment for young elite players.

Alongside her physiotherapy degree, Zoe also has a diploma in Sports Massage and has undertaken a variety of post- graduate courses including assessment and treatment of vestibular disorders, and advanced manual therapy. She is currently completing Masters Modules in advanced musculoskeletal therapy assessment and treatment which will expand her knowledge and skills in this field.

Outside of work, Zoe played football for 10 years, but now enjoys road cycling and running!
